Database for website

I currently run a football related website that has reports on hundreds of players. Rather that manually create a new page for each individual player, I'd like to upgrade to a database method. I'm looking for someone to design a database where I can login and add players whenever necessary. I can provide details on what categories I'd like to have for each individual player. I'd love to have the ability to add or remove categories from each player, if at all possible. I'd like the information from this database to be accessed through the website, that way I, or my other 2 writers, can edit the database and the player page would automatically be updated. I currently use WordPress as my CMS with a custom theme that I created, so the database would have to work well with that format. I'm pretty good with CSS, HTML and a little PHP, so I can certainly help with how the info from the database would be displayed. So basically, I can do a lot of the tweaking, but need help with the bones of the operation. I'm also looking to have a rankings system in the database where I can have players ranked by position and an overall ranking of all players. I'd love to be able to edit this list by a "click and drag" approach, which would make things 1000x easier for me and my other writers. There will be individual pages on my site that call to the rankings. I'd like everything to work with the current format that I have right now. As far as a timeline goes, I am going on vacation from June 28th until July 14th and will be limited in my computer access during that time. Ideally, I'd like to have the new database and formatting up and running by August 1st.
