Goal: Delete redundant Excel Rows with a Visual Basic Macro program.
I have an Excel data file. Often there are redundant rows of data. One of the columns is a time based column. Therefore it is easy to observe if the time is the same from one row to the next. In the case where the time is the same, I want to delete the duplicate, and proceed to the next row(s) until the end of the file is reached, (eg a blank line or cell). I would like to be able to go into the Visual Basic Editor, and make minor changes as necessary, such as change the column on which to examine. I can provide a sample Excel file with redundant entries. I would imagine a simple If (equal) then (delete row) nested in a Do While loop would be all that is needed.
## Deliverables
In reviewing writeup, please understand that there may be many redundant (duplicate) rows of data, not just one. So after the first duplicate is found in the 'time' column in this case, then proceed to next row and check for duplicate (time), etc, until you reach the end of the column, which is the last row of data.
