Summary: I need a webmail system installed on a Linux server, that will allow unlimited email accounts to be set up on unlimited domains (Allowing for space constraints of the server). There seem to be plenty of off-the shelf webmail systems available, so I assume that it is a matter of installing one, rather than developing one from scratch. They also have the option of setting a DNS MX record. However, there is no mail server on the machine, so this isn't enough to provide an Email service. I would like, that the user could be granted access to a webmail control panel, where he or she could create email accounts on the domain, and access those email accounts either via Pop3 or a webmail interface. So, for example, If I own the domain "Hello.com", I go to [login to view URL], and enter the name "hello.com", this then sets up a mailbox for the domain *@[login to view URL], with a random username and password, this also allows the user to go to a website i.e. "webmail.freenameservers.co.uk", where they can log in with the username and password, where they can set up more mail accounts like ", etc.", and where they can also send and recieve email through the webmail interface. Requirements The webmail solution you choose must meet all the following criteria: 1. I am not asking for any programming change to the existing website, [login to view URL], I will do all the technical integration myself. But I need a simple web interface to the webmail system - which should be done through PHP scripts (or similar) i.e. [login to view URL];username=hello.com&password=1234AB In essence, the initial creation of a Mailbox should be automated, and all other configuration can be manual. 2. The webmail accounts that are set up must be accessible with normal POP3 email clients, as well as online. 3. The webmail software must support multiple languages, so if the user speaks English, French, German or Norwegian, etc. then it should be able to swap between them. I would need an explanation on how to add more languages, should I need to in the future. 4. If the webmail software is not free, and requires a once-off purchase, please factor this into your bid. 5. Basic limits such as 10Mb storage space (configurable) should be placed on all accounts. 6. The webmail software should offer a facility for forwarding email, i.e. so all email could be forwarded to a Gmail account, for example. Extras These are added functionality, which if you can provide them, will help the likelyhood of your bid being chosen: 1. An anti-virus feature, to delete viruses contained within emails sent or recieved from the server. 2. An anti-spam feature to prevent excessive sending or recieving of email from the server. 3. The webmail software should have an autoresponder function, so that email can be replied to automatically. 4. It would be nice if the mail server had it's own backup and restore function, so if the server crashes, I can restore people's email.
