Change behavior of jQuery Mobile Listview Filter to filter a custom HTML attribute instead of text

jQuery Mobile has a Listview Filter built in (see [login to view URL]). I want the filter changed to filter based on a custom attribute in the <a> tag instead of the text. For example, in the following example, the filter would work on 'Your Text Here'. <a href="[login to view URL]">Your Text Here</a> However, I want to use a custom attribute called filter_text. <a href="[login to view URL]" filter_text="My Filter Information">Your Text Here</a> Therefore, if a user would type 'info' they would get the link. I would also accept a solution that filtered on both filter_text AND the text, but the solution must filter on the filter_text attribute.
