Automated Download/File Update Program

I have an internet based website I access off-site to support my customers. The problem is that I don't always have an internet connection when on the customer's site. In order to cope with this I have resorted to copying the site to my computer and updating it manually with the new files as they become available. What I want is a VB application I can run that will surf our internet site (secure server) and check for any updated/new files that are needed for my local copy. This way I will be able to dial-up from my hotel room, run the application, and know I have everything available to support my customers. The site is nothing more than static html pages, image files, and maybe some other documents. Application must be user friendly (i.e. notifying user on download progress, etc) Since this site is hosted on one of our company servers rather than a hosting company, I need to get with my network security guy to get exact details on what kind of access will be allowed from the outside. I am sorry I don't have this information but I will find out all the security issues and update this post by Tuesday.
