the project is to create a first basic version of a Windows desktop application which allows people who use it to gain insight in their personal finances.
Nowadays most banks in the country the Netherlands allow people to see the transactions on their bank account online. Also most banks allow for dowloading information about these transactions.
Starting with one file format of a specific dutch bank, the application should allow the user to import such files. This information should be saved on disk.
When importing, the application should try to find patterns in the transactions. An example of such a pattern is that every month a certain amount of money is transfered to a certain bank account.
Based on the patterns found, the application should be able to predict the cashflow for the future.
