Create a product Image Bank 2

We need to create a standardized bank of Hi-Res product images from source material obtained from our suppliers. No image sourcing is required on the freelancer’s part, all images will be supplied via DropBox.

The job will include:

1. Image Confirmation: Images will need to be checked to ensure that they relate to the product they are linked to.

2. Image Selection: At least one image is required for each product, but multiple images may be provided by the manufacturer. In cases where multiple images are supplied, a main image will need to be selected (although all related images will be processed.)

3. Conversion: Most image files are already in a jpeg format. A small percentage are supplied in a Photoshop or other graphics format, so some conversion will be necessary.

4. File renaming: Files are generally named based on the manufacturer part number. These will need to be renamed to our product code number (with suffixes to denote the main image and any supplementary images.)

5. Resizing: All completed files will need to be resized to a standard size.

6. Common Images: Some products will use the same images as other products. In cases where the image or images for one product are all the same as another product, images do not have to be duplicated, but a record needs to be made of the relationship between them.

A variety of sources are available for use in selecting and confirming images, including our website and those of the various manufacturers whose products we sell. We will also supply cross-reference data and any other reference material we have to assist in the process.

We currently have about 11,000 products to process and there will be a second phase project for another 12,000 to 14,000 minimum. We also have a fairly short time frame to complete the project. Therefore, preference will be given to freelancers who have multiple operators available and who have a high level of organizational capabilities.

The products we sell are parts and accessories for recreational vehicles. Our website at [url removed, login to view] can be used as a reference tool prior to quoting. Freelancers who have done similar work with product groups in the automotive industry will be given preference.
