Crop Images

PROJECT OVERVIEW We seek a contractor that can perform an image cropping job. We have 257 lessons spread across 4 separate PDF documents. Each lesson has an information table that describes what is included in the lesson. We need cropped images of each one of these tables. PROPOSED PROCESS We are open to your expert knowledge but here is what we have determined through our experimentation preparing this project: We discovered that saving the PDF as a jpg image with the following settings produces a quality image to work with: See "[login to view URL]" attached to this project. Once you have these baseline images, they will need to be cropped. Please view "Visual of Cropping [login to view URL]" for a visual of how the original files should be cropped. We only need the central table. Everything else on the page is not needed (except the alpha numeric ID which will be discussed in the “Deliverables” section of this project description). All images should be run through Photoshop's "Save for Web" feature or similar to trim down the file size as much as possible. If using Photoshop CS6, we have found that a quality of "medium" or "30" when performing the save for web function creates a decent image quality. We can experiment with this as needed. We do want to be mindful of image sizes as these images will ultimately end up on a webpage. PROJECT MILESTONES Stage 1 of the project will be to create various qualities of a single table image. We can then make a decision on which level of quality we should perform on the other 256 table images. We obviously need to strike the balance between image quality and file size, so multiple variations of these two parameters will allow us to experiment before making a final decision on image quality. DO NOT complete the entire batch until the quality decision is made. Stage 2 of the project will be to complete the remaining 256 files. DELIVERABLES Your final deliverables will be 257 jpg images separated into separate folders representative of the original PDF files the images were harvested from. For example, if the table images come from "KidsBeg Content [login to view URL]" then all the individual table images should be placed within a folder of the same name to help keep things organized. Additionally, the file names of each jpg should maintain the alpha numeric ID within the blue box located at the bottom right of each original page (e.g. [login to view URL], [login to view URL], [login to view URL], etc). I have attached the PDF files you will be harvesting from. If you look within the documents you will see that each has a table of contents as well as green pages with an image at the start of each new section. We do not need these pages.
