I need to design a communication subsystem that has 1 grandparent node which connects to 4 parent nodes (star topology). Each parent node directly connects to 14 child nodes. The distances are 13 km for the grandparent-to-parent and 6 km for parent-to-child nodes. The cables to be used in the system is a military WD-1 cable. The bandwidth requirement is just 64K.
I'm planning to use [login to view URL] modem on the child nodes and DSLAM on the parent node.
What I mainly need is a recommendation of what modem and DSLAM that I should use at each node. The datasheet of the selected equipment should clearly indicate the distance that the equipment can operate (which must be no less than 13 / 6 km). The design should have minimum number of equipment. The size of each equipment should also be minimized as it will be put inside a portable case.

I understand your requirement, however I wanted to know few more things. Since you mentioned DSLAM modem for the parent node and other for child node. I can design the network on VISIO. Apart from this I can provide product details which I will choose as per our requirement and the cost according to it. Let me know what other things you wanted.
