i i was offline yesterday, and just back on now, i had a closer look at the materials, in short, in a case with fairly limited prospects for a good outcome for "stephan" there are a lot of reasons for that, 1. the alien tort statute seems to be a fairly political legislation, i mean non-citizens who are claiming against US (Fed or state) usually have a limited chance of success 2. then there's the family law side of things, unfortunately for stephan he's got no chance on that front because court will award in favor of primary care-giver 3. the supporting evidence for stephan, even though legally sound in some points, is too peripheral and technical, i mean in light of a custody battle it is pointless for me, it's the kind of case that i think is lose-lose, i wouldn't want to make money from it from an ethical standpoint alone i mean i think family lawyers have a higher moral duty in cases such as this to avoid exploiting the distraught parent but apart from that, i'd be happy to try and help with other future tasks
