I want to build a simple dashboard for bloggers to use, because I'm sick of having multiple tabs open to access the information I need when compiling and monitoring blog posts.
It's not just limited to bloggers. Anybody who looks after a lot of web pages, and regularly creates new ones, will find it useful.
I'm planning on doing an online version, and apps, and I need some help.
DASHBOARD: The dashboard will aggregate a user's blog posts in one place (via RSS), as well the stats for these posts (via Google Analytics: uniques, page impressions, etc), and the social activity / buzz that surrounds them (retweets and other shares). It will provide the user with a nice top down overview of what's going on.
APIs: The app will work by pulling in information from third party APIs, e.g. Google Analytics, Twitter, Facebook, Linkedin, Wordpress, Google Adwords, etc.
CHARTS: The tool will use HTML5 / CSS3 JQuery to create visually delightful charts. The charts will show the user's performance stats (page impressions, number of comments, number of posts published, total shares, etc).
GROUPS: Editors / admins can use the tool to monitor the performance of a group of bloggers, and to assign targets and goals.
TOOLS: Bloggers can also use tools to help them create headlines (based around the Google Suggest API), and can set up searches to automate the discovery of quality content, and ideas for new posts.
There's a bit more to it, but that's roughly what it needs to do. It's fairly simple - a case of helping people to join up the dots.
It goes without saying that the UX needs to be world class for this to be worth bothering with. The app should be responsive - we'll probably design the mobile version first, expanding to the desktop or tablet view if space allows.
I'm looking for an experienced developer (with decent front end / UI skills) to build of this app. Ruby preferred but not an absolute. The display needs to be rendered for desktop, tablet and mobile.
If this sounds of interest please message me with a plan of attack and your preferred weapons of choice.
Please include some background on your skills, a ballpark timescale, your quote, relevant links and your location.
Thanks.
