I produce a highly rated TV program that is broadcast on Polish national TV. This is B2B sales. The successful candidate must communicate (speak and write) fluently in Polish and English! This is critical!
The successful candidate would be calling in (by phone and/or in person) to Marketing Directors and Business Owners across Poland to sell them advertising in successful TV program. This person must understand business cycles and needs: Specifically the successful applicant would need to:
- understand when, why and how specific businesses need to promote (for instance toy companies make a big push in October/November leading up to the big Xmas selling season … school equipment producers promote in July/August leading new school year in September).
- understand budgetary and financial issues facing marketing departments (they must do more with ever-decreasing budgets)
- understand planning cycles (a lot of these companies typically plan 3-9 months ahead). We therefore need to get on their financial and planning radar on time.
- be flexible in proposing deals that give them what they want at the same we get what we want. Flexibility comes in proposing/mixing in barter deals … longer deal periods … more flexible payment plans … referrals … shared campaigns … whatever it takes to bring on serious customers and keep them for the long term.
- ask questions that get to the root of whatever problems, issues, obstructions preventing the deal from moving forward.
This person must:
- be persistent, learn quickly and most of all, be creative. We offer extensive training in the product (the TV program) and in how to sell it.
