Custom Mouse driver for logitech trackman marble fx (t-cj12)

The driver provided by logitech for their trackman marble fx (t-cj12) has a big problem, the scroll dont work in every program in windows xp. For example, it doesn't work in firefox. The work will be to provide a driver that work as well in windows xp as the solution provided here for ubuntu: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xserver-xorg-input-evdev/+bug/889292 Except for the red "scroll" button, everything works by default in xp, the only problem is the red button is supposed to convert the trackball to a "scrollball" when you press it. With the logitech driver and mouseware application you can decide what to do with the two button on the side, but since mouseware as not been updated for this mouse, its not working well in some program like firefox. What i would like is a simple driver, i have no need for a configuration program like mouseware, i just want the "scrollball" to work.
