This is a debugging project; it should take 5 minutes for someone who is already an expert.
I have a simple problem in Windows 7 x64 using Active Perl 5.12 - Binary build 1202 [293621] provided by ActiveState http://www.ActiveState.com.
I have a folder with files that include foreign characters, e.g. C?o (the Portuguese word for Dog).
When I enter this simple script on the command line:
perl -MFile::Find -e "find sub { print """$_\n""" } , '.'"
The file name containing foreign characters gets corrupted when printed to the screen. The ? prints like π (the symbol for Pi).
I need a simple, immediate, and general solution to avoid corruption of foreign characters like ?.
