MVC model Client Server Application by Web technologies To use JAVA oriented technologies for the development of thee TIER architectural model based on MVC (Model-View-Controller) Model. Technologies to be used: HTML Clients, Servlets. JSP's, webservers, Java Beans, J2EE Technology, Java Enterprise beans. All technologies are to be gradually used in implementation of particular application - a car rental agency. Title: International Car Hire Agency Description: Members can register online and registered users can login. To register a person must supply his name and other personal details. After registering, members can book available cars and cancel cars they have booked. Billing and payment, including credits with the Agency, in a simplified form should be included. Guidelines: - Web server - GlassFish, or other freely availabale web server - Java Enterpise Beans - J2EE technology - JDBC driver to acces database Strategies: 1. HTML Client - Server 2. Types of servlets (Login, Register, Update, Payment) 3. JSP's (Update) 4. MVC with Servlets and JSP's: - Model layer: EJB module with facedes and entities - Control layer: Servlet JSP's - View layer: JSP responding to HTML client 5. Identify EJB beans to cary out complex tasks 6. EJB implementation and deployment Development tools: - J2SE and J2EE editors(packages), NetBeans. Keep it as simple as possible!!!!
