I have two systems: a Microsoft Dynamics CRM Online solution and a .NET MVC website based on NOP Commerce Open Source eCommerce portal. Within a Dynamics CRM entity record, I need to have the ability to upload photos but I don't want the photos to be stored on Dynamics CRM. I rather want the photos to be stored on the website. Hence, the requirement is to build a single custom .NET MVC page on the website that can be hosted as an IFrame inside Dynamics CRM to allow for the uploading of photos (from CRM to the website) and then the ability to view these photos in a gallery style on the CRM record. To give more details, imagine I have entity called: products on Dynamics CRM. Each product record requires a number of photos to be uploaded and viewed. I don't want these photos stored on Dynamics CRM but on another .Net MVC portal. So the user story is that the CRM user will open the CRM record for product x. They will then see a page that allows them to upload photos and then view these uploaded photos. This single custom .NET MVC page should be hosted as an IFrame on Dynamics CRM or as a web resource. As each new CRM product record is created for the first time, the website would not know about this product. Hence, this single custom .NET MVC page will need to be part of the website and creates the equivalent product record on the website so that the photos can be uploaded into it from the IFrame on CRM. All environments required for development are provided by me including CRM Online and an Azure Virtual Machine for development where the website is hosted.
