My business involves conducting vocational training programs and I need a database for me to track students as well as capture information on potential students for marketing purposes. So far I've identified the following items that I need to track:
1. Student contact details
2. Courses attended by each student
3. Follow up contact with current students
4. Details about potential students and marketing campaigns
I'll need to generate reports for:
1. Creating student transcripts
2. Email and snail mail details for regular promotion and marketing purposes to interface with Word and Constant Contact email systems
3. Tracking marketing campaigns and responses
I'll also need training and documentation for using the database and features for myself and my part-time assistant for data entry, data importing/exporting, mail/email merging, creating reports and transcripts, updating the database records.
I currently have Access 2007. My current student list is approximately 350 but anticipate that increasing significantly in the next year. Potential student contacts is approximately 200 at the moment. I teach approximately 40-60 individual seminars a year. I anticipate that my number of potential student contacts will increase significantly in the next year.
