I am using windows xp and VB6 COM project with a .NET dll Library linked in. Problem is when I register dll its not available for use by a vb6 compiled .exe program. Ie its not actually loaded in windows memory at all. What I have to do is run VB6 in development mode, load the dll manually, run the program, then it works! For some reason the process of loading it through the vb6 development enviroment, seems to load it correctly. Then it always works from then on, even if computer rebooted etc etc... Im looking for a solution to this problem, to load dll correctly.
