I need a python script using scrapy or another web scraping framework to scrap the content of a news website. I need the output of the script to be : "event_title" "location" "date timestamp". Example : "Bomb explosion in Boston" "Boston, USA" "1407415024" In the website there is one page per event where there are the title location and the date that are given in div in the HTML. I need all the events that are listed in the website. No matter if the output is written in a file or in the consol.

I have recently completed several web scraping projects, and have found these to be very straightforward using the R programming language (RCurl, XML, jsonlite packages). I am also familiar with bash shell scripting to achieve this goal (plain old curl commands). Your project seems similarly straightforward and should be accomplishable with a fast turnaround time. I presume there is some logical layout of the events that are listed, in which case it will be not much trouble for me to automate this process and provide you with the data in your preferred format, e.g. Excel.
