Our specific interest in the design is the 'Customise and buy' function that allows a user to select the components and extras for each specific package, progressing from page to page that are then passed to a shopping cart to be combined with our Payment Gateway.
As well as a fully functioning front-end, it also needs a functioning back office system that allows staff to enter options, pictures, information and prices for the different system set-ups, preferably within a database that can be web accessed, with an easy to grasp layout so that staff do not require training to update our products and options.
There is no need for graphical design for this project. All graphics will be desgned in-house. For example a 200x200 graphic for 'processors' needs only to be a 200x200 JPG with the word 'processors' in it, so you are not burdened with the resposiblity of being an artist as well as a web builder.
The specifics should be picked using radio buttons, with a running total on
the right, and a list of components below.
Each of the radio button options should have the increase in price, and an
'i' button for information on each option.
Of course, there should be a 'next' button, and from the second component
forward there should be a 'previous' button.

the imformation and total is reviewed and the customer can pay.
All of the above should have an easy to use, web-based administration
panel where staff can enter products and each of the specific hardware
and pricing options for each system set-up.
***PLEASE NOTE***
The oscommerce modules such as Custom PC Creator and Custom PC builder that are available from oscommerce are not suitable for this project as they do not function as we need them to:
1) The base system should be selected first, and be automatically included towards the cart total
2) The additional extras and their cost should not be universally available throughout each custom build, each build should have it's OWN component options as stated in the requirements for this bidding.
3) Each component should have it's own page, with a graphic and item description that changes with each RADIO button that is picked, it should not be a drop-down list
This should all work just as the [login to view URL] website does when you customise and buy an item.
