AWS DevOps Engineer for blockchain infrastructure

PROJECT DESCRIPTION We are the team of people who believe the Ethereum protocol must be cheap, fast, scalable and secure. We focus on the tools and infrastructure that matter most to blockchain users and developers. Our products: - POA Network is an open, public, permissioned blockchain based on Ethereum protocol. To reach consensus on a global state, it uses a Proof of Authority consensus algorithm. PoA consensus is a straightforward and efficient form of Proof of Stake with known validators and governance-based penalty system. - TokenBridge is a product to transfer tokens between Ethereum chains. Works in erc20 to erc20, erc20 to native, and native to erc20 modes. Launched in May 2018. - BlockScout is the first fully-featured open-source block explorer available for use by any EVM chain. Users can easily verify transactions, balances, block confirmations, smart contracts and other records stored on chain. BlockScout is designed to be fast, efficient, customizable and transparent. Its open design allows for easy adaptability, providing an explorer built by and for the Ethereum blockchain community. WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR We're looking for a DevOps engineer with strong Amazon Web Services skills for building, automating, deploying and maintaining of blockchain solutions developed by POA Team. Our main focus at this moment is * developing customized blockchain clients ([login to view URL]) * developing and integrating new consensus engines ([login to view URL], [login to view URL]) * deploying cross-chain bridges for moving assets across networks ([login to view URL]) * deploying ethereum-compatible side-chains ([login to view URL]) * development and deployment of open-source blockchain explorer ([login to view URL]) All these projects require either a good CI/building pipeline or deployment automation scripts or infrastructure maintenance and optimization. Our projects are open-source and free for people to use, so our solutions should also be easy to read and run by a wider audience. REQUIREMENTS - Experience working in a geographically distributed team. Responsibility and availability - Documenting your work - Strong knowledge of AWS services (mainly EC2, ELB, AutoScaling, RDS, Blue/Green deployment). Knowledge of AWS pricing rules and cost optimizations would be a plus - Strong knowledge of configuration management tools, mainly Ansible, Terraform and Vagrant - Exceptional knowledge of Linux servers, including virtualization, security and performance optimization - Experience in setting up CI platforms and pipelines (e.g. CircleCI, Gitlab, Travis) - Experience with Docker products - Knowledge of at least one programming language (e.g. Python). For development, our current language stack is mostly Javascript (including node.js), Solidity (for Ethereum smart contracts), Rust, Elixir - Understanding of what a blockchain is would be a plus - AWS Solution Architect certification would be a plus
