Android App Development - Assistance in API modification and Integration of Login Page

We have an existing Android app which uses an API to give users 72 hours of free trial before they are prompted to purchase the app via a single non-consumable IAP.
The API currently uses device ID to issue the 72 hour trial for the customer. We would like to modify the API so that we can now use email ID to grant the trial period.
I would like to create a login page where new users would register via email ID and password. Upon verifying their email address (via email send to the customer), the API trial would be granted.
If you have experience in Android Programming and APIs and IAP, and creating user profiles, we would love to hear from you.
