Looking at uploading a flow water sensor every 5minutes or so to [login to view URL] The flow sensor works by a simple rotating wheel that pulses a hall effect sensor. According to the site, "By reading these pulses and implementing a little math, we can read the liquids flow rate accurate to within 3%." The code for the HallSensor can be found at [login to view URL] The problem that I run into is that this program displays the data as a float and to upload to [login to view URL], one needs to send the site a String. If someone could find a way to fix my code and/or write new code that can read the flow sensor and send that data as a string to Xively every 5 minutes would be my life saver. I have attached my code if you would like to view it. Thanks, Andy

Hi, I am a Mechatronics and Control Engineer, I can do this task quite easily as I have worked on such project before in which I have used the Wifi shield to send the data to the web server. I think I can complete this task within 1 or 2 day quite easily. We can discuss it in detail. Thanks.

I am not sure why your minimum budget allowed here is 250? I can add the function you need to convert the float to string in about 1 hour and we can test for $35 USD, is that all?

Good afternoon. My name is Jeremy Trammell and I represent a group of designers and developers in Portland, Oregon (yup, completely snowed in right now). We have extensive experience with the Arduino platform, it's one of our favorite microcontrollers, and would be happy to assist you with your project. If I understand you correctly, all you're asking for is a function to take a floating point variable (which you have captured from your sensor) and convert it to a string of characters that you can upload in the send2pachube() function, yes? If that is what you are asking for, we can provide that in a matter of hours. Truthfully, this is a very trivial task and you should be able to find the solution online, but I'm happy to write it up for you.

Hi, I worked recently with Arduino and I met some similar problems, so I think I could fix your problem directly on the Arduino sketch with some simple modification. It's only a problem of conversion. Best regards, Luca Cavanini
