It's not worth it, later on after you graduated, become a professional in the industry, and you need to become loyal to your employer and the source code belongs to the employer. Please don't let a few hundred dollars of software or movies, or torrent seeds, ruin your career. Open source software, free software and torrents. What are these? What is the difference between them? Open Source Initiative: focus is on making the principles of free software attractive to the commercial world. Free software (according to Richard Stallman) has to include the following: • The freedom to run the program, for any purpose. • The freedom to study how the program works, and adapt it to your needs. Access to the source code is a precondition for this. • The freedom to redistribute copies so you can help your neighbor. • The freedom to improve the program, and release your improvements to the public, so that the whole community benefits . Access to the source code is a precondition for this. Torrents - can be exchange through peer to peer connection for graphics, photos, movies, software, books, music, or any digital format materials. In this Discussion Board, imagine that you are working for Microsoft/Apple or any large software company that develop software for the world, your pay check and bonus is based on the software sales.
