Azure problem - accepting client invite

A client has added me to thier MS Teams workspace but when I try to accept the invite I get the following message:

"We cannot create a self-service Azure AD account for you because [login to view URL] has disabled self-service account sign-up by email validation. Ask [login to view URL]'s admin to enable EmailVerified users or create an account for you."

My email provider is google.

Please solve this or provide guidance
