Freelance Quantity Surveyor
Budget min £36 GBP / hour
Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced surveyor to support a development project in Summertown, Oxford. The erection of a 4-storey boarding house accommodation for a school and a pair of 3 bedroom semi-detached houses.
Working alongside construction director, site manager and the design team.
Key Activities will include:
Preparing and issuing of sub-contract tender packages
Procurement of Sub-contractors from the existing supply chain and wider network if required providing suitable contractual T&C’s
Commercial negotiations before final approval by MD
Refinement of budget pricing, with check and balances of measurements / rates
Package placement with contractors, material and plant suppliers to delivery dates required by the program
Management of costs performance in line with program
Monthly valuations for funding drawdowns
Monthly sub-contractor payment certification with measure checks where applicable
Track changes and report monthly on variations
Forecast to complete costs total and by package
Early warning to cost increase risks
Role to run from April 2023 – December 2025.
Estimating 2 days per week.
