Hi... Maybe it helps that I have just finished 2 similar RFP projects for a client in California who is responding to federal government - Woman-Owned, Minority - RFP's for construction projects to $16M (BLM Utah and US Navy). (See my Simone E 5-star evaluations!). These were very detailed applications of over 50 pages each.
Like RFP's, grant applications require completion of a structured application process which is usually heavy on compliance with the grant terms and conditions. They are also typically tightly linked to your business and your plans for expansion (possibly requiring a current business plan).
As an Australian business consultant I have 25+ yrs experience of grant and proposal writing covering solicited & unsolicited commercial opportunities, and RFPs/grants etc offered by private companies and government Agencies - covering construction, career management, health services (community health), Recruitment services (Universities in USA ) & cleaning services, Department of Defense in Australia. I am also currently writing a detailed proposal the Australian Government (Disability Services)
After 30+ years' experience, my clients span USA, Canada, UK, Ireland, Australia, The Philippines, Malaysia, China, Singapore and Indonesia - Spanning various sectors including IT, various retail (on-line + stores); service companies; hospitality; manufacturing; agriculture; importers+++
BTW - I do this work myself... NO subcontracting, Examples are available
