Final Mini Paper DAN

PART 1 In large part, this semester has asked you to reflect deeply on complex relationships between Self and Others. For the final take-home assignment, write a 2-page 12pt font single-spaced letter to future students in this class that helps prepare them for these themes. Use your personal tone and creative license to address a version of the following. Take them through a description of the structure and content of the course and the work it requires, what to expect and the kinds of issues that comes up, not only in the readings but also in the experiences they’ll likely face when working with their peers on these topics in group discussion and choreographic experiments/dancing together as a class. Let them know what happened for you and how, reflecting on moments that stood out as “ah-ha” revelations, and also those that still baffle you even at the end of the semester. Avoid using a ​language they wouldn’t understand yet from the readings or too many references to course texts that might alienate or confuse them. Instead, let them know what the subject matter is really about, and how you’re thinking differently about certain aspects of specific themes. In the end, consider what you really want them to know and offer it to them in the form of a wish. Tell them if and how you’ll be ready to help think it through when it’s their turn to take the class.
