I have a popular YouTube channel (Consumer Research Studios) that provides reviews and guides for people interested in VPNs, tech related and audio products (ie. headphones, speakers, DAP's, etc.)
The channel has10+ million views and about 45K subscribers.
I would like to find someone who can help create more quality content for my channel.
Currently, I need help creating VPN reviews and related content.
This would include tasks such as:
Providing research for a VPN review
Creating a script (from either your own research or using someone else’s research/notes)
Reading the script
Being an on-camera personality for various topics and reviews (such as VPNs)
Performing various VPN related tests such as: speed tests, torrenting, streaming, gaming or using a VPN to unblock media providers such as Netflix, Hulu and AmazonPrime
If you’re able and willing to do all of these tasks, that would be great! However, if you feel you would be good at one or more of these tasks, that could also be very helpful.
For example, maybe you would be really good at providing the research that someone would use to create a script from. Someone else may then use your research and write the script which someone else will then read. Finally, someone else may do all the video work of using the VPN, testing it and providing the necessary video footage for the review.
Below are some examples of the types of content I would need to have created:
1. Individual Reviews
These are reviews that focus on just one product (ie. ExpressVPN Review).
2. Group/Theme Reviews
This is a review that educates people about the best options available for a particular category or niche. Examples might be: "TOP 3 VPNs" or "Best VPNs for Unblocking Netflix" These videos will have several VPNs highlighted as part of whatever category they're being featured in.
3. Explainer or How-to Videos
Using VPNs as an example, topics would be something like: “what you can use a vpn for” or “how to use a VPN” or “how to safely torrent using a VPN”
WHAT IT TAKES TO BE SUCCESSFUL
1. Quality Content
It's important that the information be accurate, high quality and something people might want to bookmark or share. For example, if you were writing the content for a video about "The 5 BEST VPNs for Newbies" it's not enough to just find 5 vpns that would satisfy that requirement (ie. pick any 5 that you come across), but to really figure out the "best" 5 are and then explain why.
2. Have an Engaging Writing Style
The content you create will be used as a script for an actual video. So it's important that it's written in a way that will be engaging for people to listen to.
Q: How many words will these articles or scripts need to be?
A: Roughly between 1,500 - 2,000 words
Q: How often do you need these done?
A: It’s more about quality than quantity. If you can do 1 per day or 1 every few days, that could work. But if you can do more, that’s great to!
Q: Do I need to be an VPN enthusiast?
A: No, but it sure helps :) I'm confident anyone can learn how to do this, but if you find this topic dull or uninteresting then it will probably be difficult to do a good job.
Q: Do you have example of what you're looking for?
A: Yes, here’s an example of a script written for NordVPN
