If you want to get more traffic from Baidu, use a CMS system to build up a site and post your own article every day, just like you do for google SEO. But website design is not important in this way. If you want to make the site as a professional and beautiful one, it may increase ROI only. BTW, Chinese people don't order from unfamiliar site often. Instead, they usually go to taobao, tmall, jd in most cases.
