Readmission and ER Visits in VLBW Infants enrolled in a NICU High Risk Follow Up Clinic

Objective: To compare rates of readmission and emergency room (ER) visits of very low birth weight (VLBW, birth weight ≤ 1500 grams) infants followed up in the comprehensive NICU Follow Up Clinic (NFC) to those who do not. Study Design: VLBW infants discharged from MGUH NICU from 1/1/2016 to 12/31/2018 were included; their charts were reviewed for demographic and clinical data and contact information. The exclusion criteria were infants who expired, placed in hospice care, or were transferred before discharge home. Patients’ parents completed an email or phone survey which inquired if their infant was admitted for at least a day or if there were ER/Urgent care visits, and reasons for admission up to 1 year after discharge. Initial results were analyzed with Fischer Exact Test and Student t Test. Multivariant analysis is pending. This study was approved by the IRB. I need a freelancer to further analyze my results. I've done the basic analysis and would like the freelancer to verify my work as well. Unfortunately, the statisticians I was working with through my institute have been asked to furlough and I have a presentation coming up this Friday May 29th.
