Payroll Administrator

Job Summary:

Responsible for the overall A/P and Payroll process of the company, including planning, communication and execution. Ensures that employees are paid on time and that their paychecks are accurate. Provide additional support for accounting department as requested.

Essential Job Functions:

Accounts Payable

• Receive and review invoices from vendors

• Review supporting documentation and prepare accounts payable check requests for selected disbursements

• Post transactions to journals, ledgers and other records

• Handle incoming calls from vendors regarding payments

• Batch data entry through check printing and mailing

• Total, balance, and reconcile billing

• Ensure the completeness and accuracy of data on accounts

• Perform inventory counts in all areas as required and enter information into the general ledger

• Reconcile inventory on a monthly basis

Payroll

• Review, edit and adjust department data input for compliance, timeliness and accuracy

• Input pay information into computer system in an accurate, efficient and timely manner

• Balance and input payroll deductions and tips

• Run reports and distribute accordingly

• File payroll reports and records

• Process bi-weekly payroll and reconcile payroll sub-ledger to the general ledger

• All other duties that may be assigned

Work Environment:

• Must be willing to work any shift when necessary, including weekends and holidays

Job Requirements:

• Must be able to speak, read, write and understand English

• Working knowledge of Accounting standards

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Excellent problem-solving skills

• Must be detail-oriented, highly organized, and deadline driven

• Advanced computer skills, particularly in Excel and Word

• Must be able to operate standard office equipment and be able to use a 10-key by touch

• Must be able to obtain/maintain any necessary certifications and/or licenses

• Must have Gaming Registration or ability to obtain same

• Must be at least 30 years of age

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to sit for long periods of time

• Must be able to bend, twist, and do general office functions
