I live on 5 acres 1/3 of it is in the 500 yr flood zone. Per the county i will need an environmental impact assessment before I make a pond. I want to make a pond (about 1/8th if that big). I worked on many flood risk assessment projects for UK, US, Australia and middle east regions. I checked study area and found that Lewis Creek passes near this area, the contributing catchment size at this location is roughly 625 square kilometer. This study might need both hydrology and hydraulic analysis. I am proficient with the flood modeling software's required for US regions and mapping packages as well.
