Texas Instruments has designs for a solar inverter. You might want to look into it and see if you just need a board and design change based on that working design. I have built quite a few versions. The problem with them is that they use a lot of (expensive components) which is difficult to make as a product and sell but for personal consumption it is OK. The ones you find over Google are not product worthy and just too simple. A lot of things have to be considered especially on the battery. I highly recommend you look into the existing reference design before moving into this project.
