Hello Dimitar

As discussed, please see attached Material Test Certificate from our supplier. Please refer to Line 6 for DN 250 Cast Flange. The Manufacturer states that this is Cast to ASTM A351 using 1.4401 material.

Part 1

I would like you to examine the MTC and investigate if the material and mechanical properties deem it to be within the spec of 1.4401.

If it is not, please tell me in detail why it is not, and what chemical or mechanical properties fail to comply. Also please explain how these may have affect on a customer using this item.

Part 2

Based on the product being manufactured using 1.4401 material, please investigate if this is compliant with ASTM A351 standard. If not, please explain in detail why it is not and how it fails to comply.

Part 3

Is 1.4401 the same as AISI316? if not, how does it differ?

What is CF8M and how does it differ from AISI316?
