Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to develop a protection system for our Excel tool to be distributed on licence agreement. The successful candidate will have sound knowledge of Excel features, VBA, and will be a problem solver in the IT environment.
Responsibilities:
• Develop a code to identify the computer where the Excel tool will be used and obtain the PC's serial number with the computer owner's agreement.
• Create a VBA code that prevent tabs to be viewed without activation key.
• Create or source a key creation tool to unlock the Excel document once pc’s serial number matches that obtained in step 1.
• Write a macro or VBA into the Excel document that will validate the serial number on the computer trying to open the document and enable it to open, use and operate the Excel document. If that fails document will not open and cannot be viewed.
• Develop a macro or VBA into the Excel document that will have an expiry date, determined by us, that will disable the tool and make it unusable after that date.
• Provide suggestions on different possibilities for protecting the Excel tool.
