My name is Lindsay and I am looking to start up my own business in the very near future.
My business proposes to be a niche distributor for a group of select suppliers in conjunction with some select technical services to mainly small to medium industrial businesses in a geographical area.
I consider myself to be on the upper end of a basic excel user but have witnessed what can be done with Excel and the powerful program it can be. I am a believer in Excel!
As I am a business start-up I am on a budget and so would like to keep start-up costs to a minimum. For the initial creation I would like to pay as a project package and then any further tweaking/ support would be paid by the hour. Further development projects I would prefer to pay a package price.
I want to create a business system in the one workbook to ensure its portability. I would like to start with something that I can add to later and expand as my business grows. I also want it user friendly so I can easily add data and keep it updated myself. If possible I would also like it to be ok for future versions of Excel. I would like it kept as simple as possible without effecting functionality. I also need someone who is readily available should I need support in case there is a problem.
The basic layout is as per the attached spreadsheet. I would like to print out a quote or invoice as a pdf and email to a customer.
Let me know what you can do or if you can assist. I am looking for someone who can communicate well, has excellent Excel skills, can communicate very well in english written and verbal. I'd probably prefer someone in Australia that I can speak to if required. This is especially important if something goes wrong once my business is up and running and I need support quickly. The creator needs to be happy to give me full ownership of the creation once it is complete. If for whatever reason I need to engage someone else I would like the freedom to do so. However I would envisage that I could build a good business relationship with the original creator so that any tweaking or future assistance would be done by them.
