Job Description:
Objective:
To create a 3D model of the subsurface magnetic properties using magnetic inversion techniques based on the data obtained from the recent magnetic survey.
Tasks:
Data Preprocessing:
Review and organize the raw magnetic survey data to ensure quality.
Remove any environmental noise or anomalies from the data.
Convert the raw data into a usable format for magnetic inversion.
Magnetic Inversion:
Choose an appropriate magnetic inversion algorithm based on the survey area and subsurface geology.
Set the inversion parameters to optimize the accuracy and resolution of the 3D model.
Run the magnetic inversion algorithm on the preprocessed data to generate a 3D model of the subsurface magnetic properties.
Interpretation and Analysis:
Analyze the magnetic inversion results to identify subsurface magnetic anomalies.
Interpret the magnetic anomalies in the context of the subsurface geology and any known features.
Combine the magnetic inversion results with other geophysical data to create a more comprehensive understanding of the subsurface.
Deliverables:
Magnetic inversion 3D model: A 3D representation of the subsurface magnetic properties, which includes the location, shape, and depth of magnetic anomalies.
Interpretation report: A report detailing the results of the magnetic inversion analysis and interpretation of the magnetic anomalies in the context of the subsurface geology.
Recommendations: Recommendations for future exploration or investigation based on the magnetic inversion results and interpretation.
Timeline:
The timeline for producing a magnetic inversion 3D model depends on the size of the survey area, the complexity of the subsurface geology, and the quality of the data.
