Need Javascript or Ajax script to insert dynamic content into web page

This is probably the quickest job imaginable for anyone with some javascript and/or Ajax experience. It is real simple, but I don't have the requisite skills nor do I have the time to figure this out myself. So here's what I need it to do (using HTML and CSS elements I already have written): 1. The page has several <a> link elements. Clicking on a specific link element will load some dynamic HTML content into a target container on the displayed page. The dynamic content will come from another HTML page (source page) within the same site (the page holding the content will have DIV selectors with ID's #content-1, #content-2....#content-n to identify which content is to be fetched). So clicking on link 1 loads #content-1 into the space on the page, link 2 loads content-2, etc.... 2. When the page initially loads, #content-1 is always the default content in the target container. 3. Your job then is to just get the desired HTML #content-n indicated by the link from the source page into the current page target area when the link is clicked. Easy peasy, right? 4. Code should be easily modified to support a different target container and a different dynamic content "source" page. If you can think of a more elegant or easier way to accomplish this I am receptive to ideas. You produce the requisite code, a sample HTML page to test, along with instructions on how to integrate into my website. I can provide content for testing, which would be HTML and CSS. Can also provide the URL to the current website that kinda sorta does what I want but with an implementation I don't like and causes some issues.
