Tetra Supplementary Services PDU Generator with Java/HTML

The goal of this project to create a set of Tetra Supplementary Services (SS) Protocol Data Unit (PDU) generator webpages based on HTML/Java. The Tetra SS is a group of 24 telecommunication service protocols over the Tetra Air Interface. More information on this protocol family can be found at the links on [login to view URL] In the ETSI 300 392-9 standard/Table 5 are enumerated all the SS protocols. All the SS protocol specifications are available online. From the page above there is a link to the Tetra SS PDU generators webpages, where all the SS protocols are enlisted for selection. After one of the SS protocols is selected, each SS protocol PDU can be selected, their member items can be edited/selected, in other words the PDU is built. When the "Generate" button is pressed the hexdump built from the PDU member bits is shown. When "Write To File" is pressed, the built PDU hexdump is written to a local text file. The PDU generator framework is already built, utility functions are ready, and 4 out of 24 protocols are already encoded. The goal of the project is to complete the rest of the protocols based on the model already available, some of them are more complicated and some of them are quite simple. The implementation is based on simple HTML with some Javascript files. They are working from local disk or a web server. They are primarily working in Internet Explorer, and another goal of the project is to test on other popular web browsers an OSs. There will be provided: - current implementation available, as set of files on local computer - all documentation necessary (ETSI specs) On project completion, another project with the protocol decoding might be available.
