General Briefing The project is under development, and it is for the redesign of the website [login to view URL] The purpose of the redesign is not to only update it from Joomla 1.5 to 2.5, but to also integrate the direct sales of web design services as “products”, by using virtuemart as a sales tool. For the most part, we want to allow users to purchase “Basic” webdesign packages and upgrade their shopping cart with additional options. How sales process works Step 1: Suppose a client wants to buy a website. We will have this “Product” for a basic price including several features: 5 Pages 1 Rotating Banner 1 Image Gallery 1 Contact form with Google Map. The above will have a fixed price. Step 2: Once users add a “product” to the shopping cart, rather than checking out, they will first be directed to a page where they can buy addons, such as Forum, Search function, Latest News Module, Newsletter module, etc. You can find a similar process on the Apple Store. When adding a computer to the shopping cart, users are directed to a page with several addons.
