solve an issue with laravel api routes not working after connecting domain name

front end of the website has been developed with react backend is on laravel front end communicates with larver using the laravel api routes if we use the ip address of the server to test the api route, it works fine ( ip/api/test), but the same does not work if we try with the domain name (domainname/api/test). we need this problem fixed
