Sun Ship, as in the ship the God Ra would bring the sun across the sky every day. Sun Ship: the incredible album in the late 60’s by saxophone Superhero John Coltrane. Sun Ship, as in Kandinsky’s Red Sun and Ship, but our colors are dark purples. But the Kandinsky says it alllllll to me, if it were purple background or sun and the ship was more spaceship looking. It ties in with a scifi story i present in some of my shows, from an underwater base on the ice core moon of jupiter, Amalthea. But the Studio is a very serious 2000 square foot facility outside of Atlanta, featuring a 26-core Universal Audio system, hardware by SSL, Neumann, etc. We work in Cubase, Pro Tools, Digital Performer, Ableton, Sibelius and Finale. Instruments include a pristine 1950’s Baldwin grand piano, killer vintage Fender Rhodes EP model, lots more, tucked away in the woods in Snellville (east of Atlanta 40min). Im just moving with my clients from a world famous facility downtown, and this is a major upgrade here. My company is Alpsmedia, LLC (from when i was doing mostly media music in Los Angeles) and my former Alpsmedia Studios has blown up and I needed to rename to Sun Ship Studios.
I work in every genre of music, from nasty Trap, to spiritual music, progressive rock, classic rock, Jazz, orchestral, choir, blues, heck ive even recorded Tibetan prayer bowls, concert harp with virginal, and a 15 piece Serbian brass funk band! I value understanding the artists and/or producers goals and run with it, from 80 piece orchestra, to 15 synthesizers, im into bouncing molecules!
So i need a smart, sexy, serious studio or broadcast company type of logo, can be on trippy side of things if it can also be un-trippy to others, depending on perspective. But not to the point of feeling flippant or untrustworthy to have utter respect for the creators children; their music, art, entertainment, message, brand, awareness
