Advice on Image Recognition

We are seeking an image processing and recognition expert to provide some technical advice at the early stages of development of a service that requires the processing of a large number of photographs at high speed and the identification of those which contain a particular element in many orientations. Further details via private messaging will be provided to candidates that exhibit the expected experience. This job is consultancy only at this stage, amounting to a few hours of verbal/written input on validating and helping to improve our planned use of image processing. This would be provided under non-disclosure agreement (NDA). At a later stage the successful candidate is likely to be commissioned to develop code in support of the proposed service. We’d expect software from a secondary commission to be developed using popular and open source libraries, such as OpenCV and Matlab, so experience developing code based on libraries like these is important. More critical, however, is a deep understanding of the principles of image recognition, so it is critical to be able to demonstrate evidence of this from your education and professional experience.
