Firstly, I have 13+ years experience in writing MATLAB programs, with hands-on experience, particularly, in Statistics & Machine learning and Parallel Computing toolboxes. The former will be vitally useful in fixing the SVM code, while the latter may be useful in optimizing the code. Secondly, I have hands-on experience with projects relating to supervised and unsupervised machine learning (ML). A recent project I completed (on another platform) involved using SVM, decision-tree and ANN classifiers for predicting outputs for a binary classification problem. In trying to obtain a trained SVM model with acceptable prediction accuracy, I needed to tweak the default parameter values for "kfold" and "box-constraint" for the SVM function "fitcsvm". Even though, this project involved a binary classification problem, the methods I used could easily be extended to a multi-class problem.
