Truckers Log - iPhone App

Truckers Log IPhone App Objective : To provide a company with a simple iPhone application that will allow their drivers to log times and loads to a database. App Requirements: - It must work with iPhone 4 and 5 series - It must work when there is no internet connectivity (some times out of range) - It must be simple to use - Where possible encryption / secure transport will be used for looking up and submitting data Project Requirements: - This project will be an Agile / SCRUM type project with quick deliveries and testing. - The client hopes to have the project completed by Friday 13th February. If you want your bid to be looked at it must contain: - Approximate number of hours of development (rough estimate) - Technology used ( dev platform) - Benefits of using the technology chosen. - Would it be portable to Android or purely an iPhone Application The Application: 1. See the PDF attached with a mock up of the screens,. This mockup is only version 1. It is with the client for comment but gives a reasonable indication of what the project will look like at the end. The mockup doesn't represent how each screen will look, just functionality etc. 2. The data is held in a MySQL database. That can be changed if required. 3. Access to data can be set up to be via the most appropriate type of call you see fit for the application. (corba, rest, apis, web calls, xml, etc etc) There is an ERD of the database attached. It is version 1 – so fields might be missing and there is no client table but the major fields and tables needed by this app should be there. The lookup table is for Truck Fleet Numbers, Machinery Types etc lookups For example, Machinery Type combo box would use Select * from lookup where key='MACHINERY'; to get its values There will be a table to register users. That table will also give staff details It will consist of: - ID – Primary Key - User Name: CHAR(100) - Email Address: CHAR(200) - Password: CHAR(32) (MD5 Hash of password - IsActive – boolean - Default True. (active users only in lookups)
