Using iOS/iPhone camera (and native/external SDK for AR), I want to be able to capture large object, particularly a car and render it in a 3D mesh (wireframe) on the screen. The properties such as size, length, and other data will then be available in json format. Create an SDK for this. The ability to tell the type and model of the car is a plus.
Let's say you spot a car parked on the side of a street. You pull out your iPhone and start an app called X. In X, you choose an action, let's call it "Capture". Now, you're in capturing mode and seeing camera view on your iPhone. You point the camera to the car and start walking around it up to the point you start the capture mode. Then, you hit save.
At this point, X displays the wireframe of the car (see example file Vibe-Wire-3.jpg) and the properties of the object, such as, length, height, maybe volume, and other data that can be generated from the Capture. The data can be saved and read. Let's call this action as "Render".
I'd like to have an SDK built for "Capture" and "Render".
