So, after scanning and after being produced in an unique carriage data device will notify server with device token/Mail id/phone number that it already has been scanned, so server can send notification/Email/SMS to that device when that carriage food will expire, since all details of food will present in server. Pls clarify. In this way also the server could know that what food have left at home, and it should be good enough so as is easily adaptable by the staff which in turn acts as a catalyst in the growth of your pantry. The main effectiveness of this app should be that barcode scanning to quickly add products from the pantry to your shopping list without having to type in every product name. No fancy features, just barcode reading and importing There are several feature can be added with your app, such as Social media channels, Geo fencing etc. But adding features may not always prove useful to making an app better. I would suggest you to make on enhancing the User Experience of only this requirement first. It should please those who use the app. For this, we will also make the navigation really easy so anyone with basic mobile knowledge can use it For iOS, we'll use the built-in AVFoundation framework( native to Apple) to discover and read barcodes in real-time.
