I have expertise in amazon web services. I can setup aws ec2, aws s3 and other amazon products with best configuration. I have expert knowledge of as below techniques:- 1. EC2 creation modification termination 2. Assigning and removing elastic ips on live instance 3. S3 bucket creation, mounting bucket to different EC2 instances, uploading contents into bucket. 4. EBS volume creation, attaching volumes to different live ec2 instances 5. Volume snapshot creation and then restoring instance from that snapshot 6. Hey there, Well first of all, I have had my own hosting business and have worked with different hosting companies, so I am pretty much comfortable setting up LAMP/LEMP, MySQL/MariaDB and CDN setup. I have worked for various clients and have helped setup EC2 instances for them. .. As far as nginx is concerned, well I have my own wordpress based site powered by nginx. So I am pretty much comfortable with it including setting up pagespeed etc with it. :) .. I still resell domains and hosting so I am pretty much versatile with all DNS related problems. I can setup nameservers and setup bind in any way that was required. . I have not specifically worked with MongoDB but one my strength is that I am a very fast learner. So I am sure with my 8 + years of background in systems administration, I would quickly get around it. :) .. As far as the timing is concerned, I usually work night shift Pakistan standard time which becomes something like 6 to 8 AM pacific time. But, I would lovvve to change my working schedual and become a morning person again. That means i would have to start working at 5 to 8 PM pacific time. Good Morning, 1. Describe your knowledge/experience in EC2 load balancing I have created a Auto scaling with ELB which used Spot Instances, in turn resulted in 80% cut of costs. That is a lot different and a great setup. Autoscaling will create spot instances, and add them to ELB automatically. 2. Have you ever troubleshooted DNS issues. If so please describe I have not troubleshooted any issues other than setting up Email verification and receiving. 3. What is your current level of availability in terms of hours per week, as well as the hours you typically work. 3:30pm - 8:30am PT. Maximum of 8 hours a day. 4. Do you have any knowledge/experience in MongoDB. If so please describe I had a great experience with Mongo Stuff, I have had tested MongoDB replication setup, but haven't deployed any production services on replication, though one of my apps right now uses it on single server. I had used MongoDB to develop a application which scheduled timetables for students. 5. Have you ever created / followed deployment / maintenance procedures. If so, please describe. I am right now experimenting with Docker setup on AWS. I have successfully setup a test AWS EC2 Instance which runs Drone CI(Docker based CI) which in turn, can deploy to AWS automatically. The Drone CI will be an excellent choice than anything else, right now because of its versatility in deployment. I can setup Spot instances with Docker to autoscale. I've used and managed cloud applications in the past, for my own personal projects. - 2. Have you ever troubleshooted DNS issues. If so please describe I have, by using 'dig' (powerful and simple to manage) and 'nslookup' in Linux. Usually the faster way to check for DNS problems is to retrieve the NS record for a given domain name, then retrieve the A/AAAA/CNAME records from that server, then request the PTR records and compare these to check that everything is OK. - 3. Dear sir, Please consider the following points: 1. I have created EC2 server and setup IAM users permissions. I have deployed webapp application with RDS database access. 2. DNS issues can be fixed internally using ETC hosts files and externally using nslookup as troubleshouting tools. The registered domain should be assigned to your server in administration hosting pannel. 3. the fixed working hours are from 14h to 16h (pacific time). extra time can be allocated if required. 4. no mangoDB experience, i can learn it if required. 5. I have working experience with maintenance procedures. Tickets are created with severity critical/major/minor. Hello, I have been a leading a team of second and third layer technical support engineers for a large streaming platform using AWS and Nginx components, and in this time, I've gathered all the necessary knowledge to help your needs. To answer your questions: 1. Mostly handled the Elastic load balancing in AWS for our pre-prod and prod environments, setting up the platforms and optimizing traffic as requested. I've set up scenarios such as using 1 Nginx as LB in front of 3, 2 Nginx instances in front of 6 and so on. 2. I've done my troubleshooting mostly on the DNS server. Checking if the DNS is doing the proper load balancing needed, verifying the server's forwarders and mostly looking into connectivity issues with nslookup. 3. I am available from 9am - 3pm or more, depending on the work needed 4. I have set up several number of replica sets and sharded clusters over the years. I've also completed the MongoDB M102 and M202 courses from MongoDB University with 95% and 98% respectively. I also have no problems with complex queries and searches in Mongo. 5. I've been doing deployment and maintenance work weekly for the past 3 years. Making out work orders and followup up with pre-prod testing and prod deployment and testing.
