A search form (input box) for a price comparison website.
> Input box (form) in which user types keywords like: “iphone”, “adidas” or category names such “mobile phones” or “shoes”.
> The input box will be connected to a mysql database which will have have fetched and stored the data from various xml feeds with specific variables such as: name, description, price, color, size etc.
Fetching and storing process will run automatically once a day at a specified time (cron).
> When user enters any keyword in search box then auto suggest will open suggesting user the keyword in available categories using jquery/ajax.
> If user selects keyword in specific category from auto-suggest then it will go to the listing page by filtering that results with selected word.
> If user does not select anything from autosuggest and press enter then it will redirect to a page similar to [login to view URL] so that user can choose his category.
> Once a category is chosen, the product will appear in such a way that the user will be able to sort and filter results by name, description, price, color, size etc
> Once user clicks on a product, he will go to new page with the product he selected. All the product’s details and specifications will appear there. All the stores that have this product will be there too. Similar to this > [login to view URL]
> Search will also handle smartly to possible extent like spelling mistakes, similar letters etc. I’d like elasticsearch ([login to view URL]) to be used for this but it’s no mandatory.
This is a price comparison web site and as such, many same products will be in the xml feeds. We need to group those products as one result and later sort them by price as stores.
